In case you haven't heard the news, The Flint Generals hockey team is now under NEW ownership!

The Perani Group, a group of investors lead by retired Flint General Bob Perani, has recently completed the transaction giving the group ownership of the team. 

This is a great thing for the Flint area.  If this sale hadn't gone through, rumor was that the team was going to fold.

There are a lot of good things to come from this if you are a hockey fan.  Updates on the status of the new Flint Generals can be found on their website at http://www.flintgenerals.com.  (new lower early bird season ticket prices are listed there!)

Kevin Kerr (another retired Flint General) has been brought back to coach the team again this season and the new ownership has really made a solid commitment to the operational management of the team.  Oh yeah, and the league changed it's name from the United Hockey League (UHL) to the new International Hockey League (IHL) starting this upcoming season.

We're currently working with the new ownership to continue our long-standing sponsorship arrangement and hopefully we'll have an announcement here in the near future regarding that.
