View Article  UPDATED: Understanding New Billing Procedures Better

Dear Members,

We've created a visual "time line" graphic in hopes it will allow us to better describe the new billing procedures.

This, along with the conversion to "email only" billing method, is the first phase of changes to our billing system.  The final phase will include the ability to pay by check from within our customer account interface as well as it will require payment to be made prior to the start of the billing cycle.

We are implementing these changes in phases so that we can be sure to have the technology aspects of the changes in place and tested before implementing them.  We also are trying to allow each phase to be adjusted to by our customers so that the changes do not occur all at once and cause too much confusion.

Please note that this time line example only shows ONE specific billing date (the 1st of March).  We use "Anniversary" billing methods (meaning you get billed on the day of the month that you signed up for service) so this same formula can be applied to any cycle start date throughout the month. (example:  if your service start date is the 11th of the month, you will receive your invoice on the 1st of the month, a 'late' notice reminder on the 8th of the month, etc.).

If you have any questions about these new procedures, please email us at billing@intouchmi.com for the fastest response.

Thank You,

Charles Partridge

View Article  FEB 1, 2008 BILLING MODIFICATIONS

Prior to 2/1/08

Beginning on 2/1/08

Statements generated  on first day of new billing period.

Example:  If your monthly rate plan billing period starts on the 20th of the month, your bill was created and sent on the 20th of the month.

Statements will generate TEN DAYS PRIOR to first day of new billing period.

Example:  If your monthly rate plan billing period starts on the 20th of the month, your bill will be created on the 10th of that month (10 days prior).

Some accounts receive a bill in the postal mail as well as in their email inbox.  The bill was generated on the same day as the monthly rate plan bill cycle starts.

All accounts will now only recieve their billing statement in their email inbox that we have on file as the 'general' contact email address.  The email bill will be received 10 days prior to the beginning of the next billing period (see above).
Payment for services is "due upon receipt" of the statment we send out.

Payment for services is "due prior to beginning of next billing cycle" (as marked on the statement detail).
